Tigerlily walked up the path that led to the Moonpool. Tonight was the night. The night Tigerlily became leader of Windclan. Walking up to the shallow pool of water the dipped her paw into the water..and then fell into a deep, deep sleep...
Tigerlily jerked awake. She wasn't at the Moonpool anymore, she was in a clearing full of cats, some she knew some she'd never seen before. Looking around the clearing a figure walked up towards her, it was her mother, Moonlily.
" I, Moonlily, give you the life of love. I loved you and I expect you to love your clan with all of your might as well." Before Tigerlily could speak. Moonlily touched her nose with hers and a jolt of pain went into Tigerlily's body. When Tigerlily came back to focus her mother was gone and another cat a sandy colored cat walked up to her. It was Sandstripe, her best friend.
" I, Sandstripe, give you the life of speed. To chase the enemies out of your territory, just like a Winclan cat should." Again Tigerlily felt the same shock of pain as Sandstripe put her nose to hers. Looking around again she saw her father, Nightstar step towards her.
" I, Nightstar, give you the life of strength. To defend you clan with all you got no matter what the enemy is." Putting his nose against hers she was shocked by how much the pain affected her. Her father was one of the strongest cats of the land and she guessed he wanted to pass it to her. Taking focus of the next cat to approach her she saw Sandstripe's kit, Duskkit of whom Tigerlily had to raise on her own due to Sandstripe passing away while giving birth. Smiling down at the young kit of whom hadn't survived the flood trotted up to her.
" I, Duskkit, give you the life of acceptance. To accept cats of all cats of the lake like you accepted me." A tear came to Tigerlily's eye as Duskkit stepped up to Tigerlily and gave her her life. A jolt of pain not as bad as the others went into her body. Wipieing the tear off of her eye and seeing who was to give Tigerlily her next life she stood up straight and tall. She soon saw Thunderfoot her former mate before the horrid flood killed him approach her.
" I, Thunderfoot, give you the life of courage. Me and you had the courage to save Winclan from the three badger cubs and you will have the courage to defend your clan." Stepping closer to his old mate Thunderfoot put his nose to hers and a shock of pain curled through her bones, yet before leaving her Thunderfoot whispered in her ear. "I love you." Yet, before she could say she loves him back Thunderfoots dark figure faded away and Nutshell. Tigerlily's forbidden love padded forward.
" I, Nutshell, give you the life of adventure. I want you to have as many adventures as you and I did before I was killed by a monster." Nutshell touched Tigerlily's nose and the same shock as before went through her veins. After a minute or two, Nightshadow, Tigerlily's closest mate besides Sandstripe and the bravest cat Tigerlily new padded up to her.
" I, Nightshadow, give you the life of bravery. The cats of Winclan and many cats of other clans say I was the bravest cat they knew, the fact is I was just as scared as they were during those times where i was brave." Tigerlily smiled at her old friend. It was to sad to think about how her friend had died because of twoleg kits spraying him with water while he was trying to save his kits. Again Tigerlily felt the jolt of pain surge through her body as he pressed his nose to hers. Watching him fade slowly away she soon saw Ol'Fart. An old loner that lived at the border of Winclan territory and was the most humorous cat near the lake pad up to her.
" I, Ol'Fart, give you the life of humor. To keep your clan smiling each and every day, and still be serious when you need to be." Ol'Fart was one of the cats that was abandoned from the clans due to helping another kittypet and was tooken in by twolegs, yet still believed in Starclan. Smiling Ol'Fart put his nose to Tigerlily's and the same jolt of pain went through her body as before. Walking away a ginger tom that was the color of flames padded up to her. She didn't know who he was. He must have something to do with my kin or close friends, She thought to herself.
" I, Firestar, give you the life of peace. To try and keep peace with the other clans and cats of the lake. Yet still fight when you need to." Tigerlily was shocked. She had no idea that she was kin to the great and noble, Firestar. Nodding her head to her she held her nose up to Firestar waiting to put his nose onto hers and give her her final life. Putting his nose to hers Firestars life was the most painful of them all, although it was over in less than a second it still hurt her painfully.
" I, Firestar, also give you the name Tigerstar. This is your new name and shall be used as your name now and forever. With your name you will carry the lives of Love, Speed, Strength, Acceptance, Courage, Adventure, Bravery, Humor, and Peace. You, Tigerstar are now leader of Windclan. May you keep the cats of clans well trained, and fed and looking for to each and every day as a new day to fight, and hunt for their clan." Nodding his head to the group of cats around him each of them faded one at a time. "Goodbye, and Goodluck. Moonlily, Sandstripe, Nightstar, Duskkit, Thunderfoot, Nutshell, Nightshadow, Ol'Fart, and I will be watching you and your siblings as you help build up clans that you all shall be proud of." Firestar then slowly faded away.
Waking up Tigerstar looked around. She then looked at her reflection in the Moonpool. She looked different. Tigerstar looked more determined to be the best leader of Windclan ever!
